Keystone Species
The largest keystone species in the area affected by the disaster is the Orang-utan. The Orang-utan is an herbivore, with its diet mostly consisting of fruits from trees, such as passion fruit, mango, and durian. It is hunted often by the Sumatran Tiger and the Dhole. It spreads the seeds of the fruits it eats, growing trees. After the tsunami, the Orang-utan was forced further inland, and had it's common living space, the treetops, thinned out.
